Endocarditis due to Salmonella typhi

Abstract

A case of endocarditis caused by Salmonella typhi is reported in a 24-year-old Egyptian woman known to have rheumatic heart disease. The diagnosis was confirmed by positive blood cultures and echocardiogram.
