Dr. Lam is a graduate of The University of Hong Kong. During his post-doctoral training in The University of Hong Kong and Pennsylvania State University, his research focused on the evolutionary and epidemiological dynamics of RNA viruses, particularly influenza virus. He is a postdoctoral research fellow in Department of Zoology, University of Oxford since 2011, where he continues the research in infectious diseases. He received Novartis Vaccines Award for Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases in 2008 and Newton International Fellowship in 2010.
