            Dr. Singh is Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Director of HIV services at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center.  She has authored over 250 scientific publications, abstracts, and book chapters.  Her research interests and publications in the area of HIV infection include opportunistic infections prophylaxis, complications of antiretroviral therapy, quality of life, depression and psychologic stress in HIV setting, nontraditional and complementary therapies, and adherence to antiretroviral therapy.  Dr. Singh has served as reviewer for Special Review Committee of the National Institutes of Health’s RA-AI-94-13.  Under her leadership, the HIV program at the Pittsburgh VA was ranked amongst the top 5 Department of Veterans Affair’s programs of excellence for 1999.
