             Nina Singh, M.D., is a tenured Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, and the Chief of Transplant infectious Diseases at the Pittsburgh VA Healthcare System. She has a dedicated career in the field of transplant infectious diseases. Her primary areas of research interests include cytomegalovirus and opportunistic mycoses, in particular cryptococcosis and invasive aspergillosis in organ transplant recipients.  She has authored approximately 300 peer reviewed publications, 23 book chapters and edited 2 books on transplant infectious diseases. She is the senior author of the most cited paper in immunology and the first author of paper cited in top 1% in Infectious Diseases per ISI and ESI  in 2005. She is the three time recipient of Pfizer National Visiting Professorship Award in Infectious Diseases and has been listed as Best Doctors in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and as America’s Top Physicians, Consumer Research Council of America.  She has served on the study sections of the NIH and the Canadian Institute of Health Research. She has served on the on the editorial board of Transplantation  and as Associate Editor for Liver Transplantation.
