Noele Nelson, M.D., Ph.D., MPH

Dr. Nelson joined CDC as a Medical Officer in 2013 from Georgetown University Medical Center, where she worked as a Research Assistant Professor and Attending Physician. Since joining the CDC, her work has focused on hepatitis vaccine research and policy. She is the CDC ACIP work group lead for hepatitis vaccines. She is also a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Public Health Service and currently practices pediatrics at the Dekalb County BOH Refugee Pediatric Clinic. Dr. Nelson has published and given presentations in biosurveillance, epidemiology, and vaccine research.
