Dr. Eugene Shapiro is Professor of Pediatrics, of Epidemiology and of Investigative Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine. He was graduated from Yale University with honors with a B.A. in English Literature. He received his M.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Medicine. After completing three years of residency in Pediatrics and two years of fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA), he completed another two years of fellowship in clinical epidemiology as a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the Yale School of Medicine. He has received numerous research grants and is the author of nearly 200 publications.
