 Sébastien Pion graduated in biological science from the University of Lille I in 1997 and acquired a master in biostatistics from the University Paris-Diderot in 1999. His main research focuses on the use and development of statistical methods and mathematical models to understand the epidemiology and control of helminth infections of humans. His major research interests have included onchocerciasis and loiasis and, to a lesser extent, ascariasis and trichuriasis.
