Mike Brown is a physician specializing in Infectious Diseases. He holds a Clinical Senior Lectureship at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, with an honorary consultant physician appointment at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, London, UK

Previously he held a Wellcome Trust Fellowship, during which time he spent 2 years at the MRC program in Entebbe, Uganda. His PhD was on helminth co-infection and HIV progression in Uganda, and explored clinical, epidemiological and immunological aspects of co-infection.

He continues to pursue research interests in migrant health and in epidemiological and clinical aspects of helminth infection, including Strongyloidiasis in migrants in London.

He teaches on the DTM&H, the MSc in Tropical Medicine and International Health and the short course in Travel Medicine.
