Biography:

Dr Chang graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong in 1991. He has worked in the Tuberculosis & Chest Service under the Department of Health of Hong Kong since 1992. He obtained Master of Science in Respiratory Medicine with distinction from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in 1998. After completing specialist training in Respiratory Medicine in Hong Kong in 2001, Dr Chang was conferred Fellowship of the Hong Kong College of Physicians in 2001 and Fellowship of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in 2002. He obtained Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004.

Besides working as a full-time clinician, Dr Chang has conducted research and published a few peer-reviewed articles on tuberculosis, silicosis, and mesothelioma. He is a member of the Hong Kong Thoracic Society, and the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology. He has acted as a reviewer for the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Respiratory Medicine, International Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases, and Lancet.
