is a clinician-educator at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She is
actively engaged in the practice of clinical infectious diseases
teaching Microbiology in the school of medicine. Her research interests have
focused on foodborne illnesses, in particular Campylobacter jejuni i
a trigger of the Guillain-Barre syndrome. She also is interested in
immunization policy and is a member of the Center for Disease Control and
(CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and the chair of that
organizationís Influenza work group.
has recently been focused on undergraduate medical education at Vanderbilt with
leadership roles in curriculum revision and course design, as well as lecturing
and bed-side teaching.
